Tiramisu is a classic Italian dessert made with layers of coffee-soaked ladyfingers, a rich mascarpone cheese mixture, and a dusting of cocoa powder. It has a creamy, airy texture with a perfect balance of sweetness and bitterness from the coffee and cocoa. This no-bake dessert is best when chilled for a few hours, allowing the flavors to meld together. Ideal for elegant gatherings or as a comforting treat.

 

Ingredients

 

For the Cream:

huge egg yolks

½ container (100g) granulated sugar

¾ container (180ml) overwhelming cream

8 oz (225g) mascarpone cheese

For the Layers:

glass (240ml) solid brewed coffee (cooled)

2 tbsp coffee alcohol (optional)

24 ladyfinger rolls (savoiardi)

2 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder

Dark chocolate shavings (discretionary, for garnish)

Execution

 

1. Get ready the Cream:


In a heatproof bowl, whisk egg yolks and sugar.

Place over a pot with stewing water (twofold evaporator strategy) and whisk ceaselessly for 5 minutes until marginally thickened.

Remove from warm and let cool.
